Description: JODPIE Lite is a free script that allows to add live Open Directory Project data of dmoz.org in your website; it is based on Smarty template engine and relies on CSS in a way that it can be easily customized. It supports thumbshots from Thumbshots.org and full UTF-8 encoding. It supports three modes: - live mode with live fetching from dmoz.org - local mode with fetching from a relational database (MySQL, PostgreSQL) - hybrid mode that mixes live and local mode, fetching from a database when data are available in it, from dmoz.org otherwise. To use 2nd and 3rd mode you need to populate a database. JODPIE Lite doesn't provide import of DMOZ RDF dumps to db; to import DMOZ RDF dumps it's needed an import tool, also known as upload tool, like JODPIE (check the homepage at http://www.jodpie.com/ for JODPIE import tool). Freeware license with backlink required.
